Navy staffer drowns at Harvalem waterfall

A picnic on Dussehra ended in tragedy when a youth employed with the Navy in Vasco drowned in the Harvalem waterfall on Friday.

According to reports, Akhilesh Jagdish Sharma (21) and some friends had gone for a picnic to the Harvalem waterfall, when he went for a swim and drowned.

The body was later retrieved by a team from the Bicholim Fire Services, led by Shripad Gawas.

Telemedicine introduction in health services from today
