Catholic Association of Goa AGM on Nov 14

The Annual General Body Meeting and elections of the executive committee of the Catholic Association of Goa (CAG) will be held on November 14 at 10 am after the Eucharistic celebration.

In a press note, the CAG has stated that copies of the report and audited statement of accounts are available for inspection at its office and can be inspected on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of October and the first Tuesday of November.

Those interested to contest for the post of president, vice president of North and South Goa, honorary treasurer, youth representative North and South Goa may submit their letter of interest to the general secretary or to the president within 10 days of the publication of the notice.

Only those whose names reflect in the list of members (life and patron) at the CAG office will be permitted to vote and all CAG members need to verify their names and details prior to the election date by visiting the office on Tuesdays from 11 am to 1 pm.

Members are requested to get in touch with CAG General Secretary Rynus Vincent (Ph: 9823059842).

CAG members are also informed that identity cards for life and patron members have been prepared and can be collected from the CAG office on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm. Members are requested to bring a latest passport size photo along with them.

PANAJIThe ‘Fama’ of Menino Jesus will be held on October 18 at Our Lady of Merces Church, Colva, and not on October 17 as reported earlier.Colva Fama is celebrated with great pomp as the miraculous statuette of Infant Jesus is brought down from its pedestal and kept for adoration at the Church during the High Mass.
