Even as the petitioners have approached the Centre for protection of Old Goa heritage areas, they claimed ignorance over violations that took place after the Exposition got over.
When pointed out by The Goan that the structures that were built for Exposition are still standing tall, when they should have been demolished after the event got over, and that the Old Goa police station has been shifted to the Exposition Secretariat, the petitioners said they were unaware of it.
"We are not aware that the police station was shifted there," said Elvis Gomes.
Prajal Sakhardande, however, said that it is the duty of the ASI to act if any illegality has taken place.
