OLD GOA
Speaking for the first time after switching sides, panch Vasu Kunkolienkar said he felt hurt as he was not taken into confidence by panchas of the other camp.
“I had gone to the other camp due to some issues in this camp. But there, I was not taken into confidence, which is why I decided to return to Silveira’s camp,” said Kunkolienkar, but said he did not want to go into details on the issue.
Meanwhile, MLA Silveira welcomed Kunkolienkar by stating that a prodigal son has returned.
Silveira also denied his role in the political developments of Siridao panchayat and stated that it was an internal matter among the panchas.
“But as a MLA, I have to keep cordial relations with panchayats in my jurisdiction so that development is undertaken,” he added.
Silveira further stated that as and when the sarpanch’s election is held, a panch from his camp will be elected to the post.
