Now, P’yats Secy declares 2 Loutolim members unfit to continue in office

With the Chief Secretary accepting the findings of the Goa Lokayukta, the Secretary, Panchayats has declared Loutolim panchayat members Inacinha Fernandes and Seby Rita Palmyra Fernandes unfit to continue in office either as deputy sarpanch/sarpanch or ward members.

In fact, the duo stands removed as member of the Village Panchayat of Loutolim with effect from December 1.

The Secretary, Panchayats Sanjay Gihar, IAS passed two separate orders removing Inacinha Fernandes and Seby as members of the Loutolim village panchayat after the Lokayukta’s findings found acceptance with the Competent Authority, the Chief Secretary.

The Lokayukta had earlier recommended and declared that Inacinha and Seby Rita unfit to continue in office either as sarpanch/deputy sarpanch or a ward member in a matter which was initiated based on a complaint filed by Frank Monteiro and others.

On September 15, the Goa Lokayukta Justice P K Misra had recommended and declared that Inacinha and Seby Rita are unfit to continue in office either as deputy sarpanch/sarpanch or ward member.
