Panchayats Minister Mauvin Godinho on Monday said many leaders have been joining the BJP because only the BJP can deliver to the people in the form of development, jobs, schemes and also get support from central government
Godinho was speaking to reporters after inaugurating a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for the Bogmalo Panchayat.
"Even if there is no wave, BJP has the support of people from across all constituencies in Goa. We will see a large number of people from all sections and majority of political leaders with the BJP party which has taken up massive development and has a vision for Goans," said Godinho.
Godinho commended the Bogmalo panchayat for setting up its MRF facility.
"Dry garbage has to be baled and is taken care of by the Goa State Pollution Control Board or Goa Waste Management Corporation, while handling and disposal of wet waste will ensure more compost and manure for trees.”
“We have created such facilities in around 10 panchayats in the last few days and we will soon inaugurate a bigger facility in Chicalim panchayat and the machines have also arrived.”
The minister said the government is spending around Rs 120 crore in around 40 panchayats and eventually, all panchayats will have such facilities to ensure garbage is handled and disposed scientifically across the State.
“We will be spending around Rs 1.5 crore per panchayat under Swaccha Bharat Grameen part 2, wherein 10 panchayats have been taken up, 40 are in the phase and the remaining of the 191 panchayats will be taken up," said Godinho.
