Assuring that the Mahila Congress would stand by any candidate chosen by the party, All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) President Netta D’Souza claimed it was only the Congress which had been there to address the issues of Goans all these years.
D’Souza was addressing a large gathering of women from across the State during a Mahila Congress convention at Zuarinagar. Among those present included GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Goa Mahila Congress President Beena Naik, former minister Nirmala Sawant, Mahila congress member Pramod Salgaonkar and Cansaulim Panch Martha Saldanha.
"While many parties from other states have come to Goa for elections, it was only the Congress party which was here to address issues of the people and we will continue to stand with them,” said D’Souza.
"The Mahila Congress will support candidates chosen by the party in all constituencies and we will work united to ensure that the people get the Goa they wanted.
