The Passport Seva portal will be inaccessible for five days as it is undergoing technical maintenance from 8 pm today to 6 am on Monday.
The Ministry of External Affairs announced that during this maintenance window, all passport-related services including application processes, appointment bookings and other associated services will be temporarily unavailable.
It further indicated that the system will be down for various authorities as well, including Regional Passport Offices (RPO), Bureau of Immigration (BOI), India Security Press (ISP), the Department of Posts (DoP), and the police.
Applicants with appointments scheduled for Friday, August 30, 2024, will have their bookings rescheduled. The government has assured that affected persons will be informed about their new appointment dates and timings at the earliest.
"The maintenance is essential for ensuring the continued efficiency and security of the Passport Seva portal," said the MEA.
