Bharatiya Janata Party national President J P Nadda on Sunday termed as “baseless” the allegations of snoopgate against the Narendra Modi government and said that an Opposition devoid of issues was raising a non-issue.
“It is baseless..... the opposition led by the Congress has got no issue to raise that is related to the people. Therefore, they raise such issues,” Nadda said at the press conference he addressed on Sunday afternoon before winding up his two-day visit to the State.
The Pegasus spyware controversy relates to an probe undertaken by several media organisations from across the world which revealed illegal surveillance on politicians, activists, journalists using the spyware.
Nadda also trained his guns on the principal Opposition party, the Congress, describing it as a “rudderless boat” under a sailor who does not know which way the wind is blowing.
