PORVORIM
An employee of a company at Pilerne Industrial Estate has been booked on charges of misappropriating Rs 6.93 lakh. In a complaint, an official of the company stated that the misappropriation took place sometime between September 1, 2022 and November 30, 2023.
The accused, a native of Dombivli East“Thane but residing at Calangute was appointed asst manager, accounts & finance and entrusted with the work to account and disburse money.
The accused transferred excess money amounting to Rs 3,14,420 into her personal bank account Rs 2,81,795 into the bank account of another person and Rs 97,600 into the bank account of a person who was appointed as a purchase executive. Porvorim police has registered an offence under Section 408 read with 34 IPC and PSI Sitaram Malik is investigating the case.
