In an interesting development, Administrator of South Goa Comunidades, John Fernandes has requested the Canacona police to file a FIR in connection with the NOCs issued by the Canacona Comunidade.
Acting on instructions received from the Under Secretary, Revenue-I, John has also forwarded a copy of the letter to the Anti-Corruption Bureau for action.
In the letter, John stated there is no provision in the Code of Comunidades to issue NOCs. The copies of the NOCs have been enclosed with the letter for the investigation agencies to probe into the matter.
