Police nabs youth, seizes 2.1 kgs of ganja at Karaswado

Mapusa police on Monday arrested Shubham Shovigaunda Chowgule (22) of Sankhali on charges of transporting 2.1 kgs of ganja, valued at Rs 2.1 lakh, from Pune.

According to reports, a police team led by PI Tushar Lotlikar nabbed the accused as he alighted from a bus at the Karaswado junction.

The police had already received reliable information that the accused would get off the bus at the Karaswado junction.

The accused has been arrested and police is investigating the case.

PANAJIDrishti’s lifesavers reunited a missing child with his parents at Calangute beach.According to reports, a 5-year-old boy was found wandering along on the beach. On enquiring, the lifesaving team learnt he was long and unable to find his parents.After several announcements were made by the team patrolling the area, the parents were located at a beach shack 300 metres away from where the boy was spotted and he was reunited with the parents.
