PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar celebrated his birthday with special children at Little Angels Home for Children with Special Needs Bautona-Chorao, in the presence of Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo, Member Secretary Dr Anyssia Viegas, Pedro D’lima and Genelda D’lima.
The chairman of the ashram Dr Aditya Arya IPS (ex-DGP Goa) welcomed the Minister via video conferencing from New Delhi.
Member secretary Dr Anyssia Viegas stated details about the ashram: "Pedro D’lima, Genelda D’lima along with me is the heart and soul of the ashram and effortlessly contribute towards the upliftment of 17 in-house inmates who are differently-abled orphan adults and children".
On the occasion, the ashram inaugurated a bakery unit which is run by the inmates.
While speaking on the occasion PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar appreciated the efforts taken by the members of little angels and urged them to be confident and fulfil their dreams.
MLA of Aldona constituency Glen Ticlo also spoke on the occasion and extended his birthday wishes to the Minister.
While speaking on the occasion the PWD minister said: "On the auspicious occasion of a birthday we mostly start the day by visiting the temple, but this Little Angel ashram is like a temple for me and those working for the betterment of special children are like God. I salute their work."
