PWD principal chief engineer stays mum on job scam

Principal Chief Engineer of PWD Uttam Parsekar on Tuesday fended off questions on allegations against him on jobs-for-cash scandal levelled by prime accused Pooja Naik.

When journalists questioned him on the allegations, Parsekar refused to speak on the issue only saying, “no comments”.

Probing journos asked the PCE whether he would take any steps vis-à-vis the allegations coming up against him.

He was also asked that one other officer had against whom similar charges were made by the accused has slapped a defamation case and whether he contemplated a similar response.

The PCE maintained a firm countenance only stating, “no comments.”

The prime accused had gone public when she alleged paying huge sums in cash to a minister, an IAS officer, and PCE PWD Uttam Parsekar, alleging their involvement in the scam.
