A rare astronomical phenomenon will be happening in the skies in the wee hours on March 28 between 5-5.30 am when in the eastern sky three prominent planets in our solar system “ Mars, Venus and Saturn “ will be seen in very close proximity to the Moon. “Three most prominent planets of our solar system will be meeting with the Moon, forming a rare and special grouping early in the morning in the eastern sky,” says Gautam Jalmi.
Explaining this phenomenon, an astronomy enthusiast from North Goa, Gautam Jalmi states, “There won't be any problem in identifying the brightest planet Venus, similarly the Reddish Mars will also quickly catch your eyes. The bright Venus needs no separate identity; similarly, the red Mars will also be seen easily with the naked eyes. The beautiful ringed planet Saturn and the waning crescent Moon will join them from either side. All of these could be viewed easily with naked eyes. As this is going to happen in our galaxy and the Milky Way, nature-science-astronomy lovers can enjoy this rare phenomenon unfailingly.”
Appealing the teachers, parents and children not to miss this rare opportunity, the IT engineer says, “Since our Milky Way Galactic core will also be seen above our head, nature, science and astronomy lovers should not miss this grand opportunity to learn about our solar system and get self-inspired for taking science seriously in their education and passing the knowledge.”
