The Goa Dairy three-member Administrative Committee headed by Administrator Durgesh Shirodkar has recommended the removal of Goa Dairy Managing Director Anil Fadte.
In a memorandum submitted to the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), Shirodkar recommended the removal of Fadte on disciplinary grounds and suggested the appointment of Kashi Naik as the new MD until the post of MD is filled regularly.
Citing various violations as reasons for the removal of Fadte, the administrator stated that one of the primary reasons had been the non-cooperation with other management in day-to-day affairs.
The administrator alleged that Fadte has not been adhering to his directions and added that despite an order, Fadte had failed to transfer some employees on grounds that transfer of staff was the prerogative of the MD and not of the administrator.
Shirodkar also claimed that the Administrative Committee was not happy with the performance of Fadte as MD.
Shirodkar said Goa Dairy Chairman Rajesh Faldesai had filed a complaint against Fadte with the RCS, accusing him of not depositing money on the veterinary bills.
He also reported that a woman employed at Goa Dairy had also filed a complaint against the MD.
Meanwhile, Fadte, who was appointed as acting MD of Goa Dairy on November 16, 2019, has rejected all allegations levelled against him.
'Goa Dairy made Rs 3.5 crore profit in 1 year'

Despite levelling various allegations against Goa Dairy Managing Director Anil Fadte, Administrator Durgesh Shirodkar has stated that Goa Dairy made a profit of Rs 3.5 crore from March 2020 to March 2021.
Of this Rs 3.5 crore profit, the State government disbursed Rs 1.5 crore to the farmers. Goa Dairy sales rose to 60,000 litres per day, while the average daily sale was 55,000 litres, stated Shirodkar in his report.
