Rider injured in road mishap at Farmagudi

A rider was seriously injured after a truck and a two-wheeler collided with each other at Farmagudi on Tuesday at 10.45 pm.

According to Ponda police, the truck was proceeding towards Mollem when the accident took place. After the collision, the two-wheeler rider, Manoj Velip, fell on the road and was seriously injured. He was taken to the Ponda Sub District Hospital and later shifted to Goa Medical College.

Ponda police on Thursday evening booked a case against the truck driver Yallapa Ramappa Ligar of Ramdurg, Belagavi.

The injured two-wheeler rider is originally from Andhra Pradesh but currently residing at Mangueshi.
