Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Monday returned a bag containing cash of Rs 20,000 to a passenger from West Bengal who had left it in the Vasco-Kulem train on Sunday.
Speaking to media in Vasco, the passenger, Saiful Mia, thanked the RPF for acting swiftly on his request and returning the bag to him along with a cash of Rs 20,000 which was inside the bag.
"I had boarded the train from Vasco and was travelling to Margao on Sunday, from where I was supposed to leave for Mumbai.”
“I had four bags with me and in a hurry to get off the train at Margao, I forgot one bag on the train after getting confused. However, I immediately alerted the RPF in Margao and they got in touch with the RPF staff on the train and collected my bag and handed it over to me today along with the cash inside the bag," said a happy Mia.
