The Directorate of Education (DoE) has directed all schools to ensure they are registered on both the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Portal (CMSP), warning that non-compliance deprives students of crucial financial support.
Director Education Shailesh Zingade in a circular issued has noted that several schools in the state have not completed registration on these portals. As a result, eligible students are unable to apply for and avail benefits under various scholarship schemes meant to encourage academic pursuits.
“The lack of registration not only hampers the timely disbursal of scholarship assistance but also deprives students of financial support meant to encourage their academic pursuits. This is a matter of serious concern as it directly affects the welfare of students across the state,” the circular stated
Heads of institutions have been instructed to register their schools on both portals and to verify applications to ensure that no student is denied benefits under the schemes they are entitled to.
