The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has directed its affiliated secondary and higher secondary schools to grant provisional admissions to students who have successfully completed their studies under Cambridge Assessment International Education UK and Pearson Edexcel Ltd, London.
Goa Board Secretary VB Naik said that it has come to the attention of the Board that certain affiliated schools, at times, express reservations about admitting students from these educational backgrounds.
“It is urged to all Heads of schools to provisionally admit students who have completed this education under the Cambridge Assessment International Education UK and Pearson Edexcel Ltd, London curriculum,” Naik said, asking schools to initiate the application process for the issuance of an eligibility certificate for the students.
The Board has clarified that Cambridge Assessment International Education UK (IGCSE) and Pearson Edexcel Ltd, London are recognized and esteemed educational boards and are acknowledged globally for their rigorous and comprehensive curriculum.
“While some concerns have been raised regarding the recognition of qualification obtained under these educational boards, it is essential to underscore that Cambridge Assessment International Education UK and Pearson Edexcel Ltd, London are reputable entities with a realm of education acknowledged by various educational Board’s,” Naik said in the circular.
