The State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) Goa allocated the liver of Ajay Giri to Jupiter Hospital in Indore while his kidneys were donated to Healthway Hospital and Goa Medical College (GMC).

According to North Goa Superintendent of Police Akshat Kaushal, Ajay Giri was declared brain-dead on January 29. After counseling by doctors, his wife consented to organ donation. "Goa Police, through swift coordination and traffic management, facilitated a green corridor for the speedy transport of the organs," he said.

Earlier, the Traffic Police announced on social media that a green corridor was created at 1:25 pm for the transportation of human organs from Manipal Hospital in Dona Paula to Dabolim Airport, Healthway Hospital in Old Goa, and GMC in Bambolim.

On January 28, the family of 25-year-old accident victim Govind Yadav, a labourer from Madhya Pradesh, also consented to organ donation after he was declared brain-dead. He had suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident.
