'Sholay' director Sippy to headline tribute to iconic Goan trio Ramesh Sippy

Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, in association with the Department of Information and Publicity and Goa College of Art, will hold the Centenary Year Celebrations of eminent Goan personalities Late K Vaikunth (Vaikunth Kuncolienkar), Padma Bhushan Laxman Pai and Padma Vibhushan Mario Miranda from June 11-13 with various activities and programmes.
The celebrations will begin with the inauguration of an exhibition at 5.15 pm on June 11 at the hands of renowned film director Ramesh Sippy (of Sholay and Seeta Aur Geeta fame) in the presence of PWD Minister Digambar Kamat and Damodar (Damu) Naik, featuring original works of Padma Bhushan Laxman Pai, Padma Vibhushan Mario Miranda, and rare photographs documenting the life and work of K Vaikunth in the Black Box, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
The main commemorative function will be held at 5.30 pm in the Pai Tiatrist Auditorium.
There will be a screening of the iconic film Seeta Aur Geeta, produced by Sippy Films, directed by  Ramesh Sippy, with cinematography by K Vaikunth.
