An official of the SIDCGL told the citizens that the Corporation has recently released a number of sewage connections around the area falling along the Kudchadkar storm water nallah.
The official, however, conceded that areas such as the congested markets and other are still not connected to the sewerage line since there’s no space around even to build a sewage chamber.
The question of absence of pumping stations also came up during the inspection, with citizens seeking answers from the officials how they treat the sewage in the low lying areas which do not flow into the underground line for want of gravity.
Incidentally, the SIDCGL official said the de-silting of the Kudchadkar water nallah falls in the domain of the Water Resources department.
