Will the government or the Vigilance department explain the status of the Vigilance probe into the alleged encroachment of the acquired land admeasuring 1.26 lakh square metres for the proposed Housing Board colony at Panzorconne-Cuncolim.
Well, the Goa Housing Board had acquired an area admeasuring 1.26 lakh square metres of land for the proposed project at Panzorconne. However, the government initiated a vigilance probe into claims that around 25,000 square meters of the acquired land was allegedly encroached upon by a private party.
The status of the Vigilance probe, however, is mired in mystery with the probe not yet made public till date for reasons best known to successive governments in the last one decade.
