OLD GOA
A 45-year-old taxi driver was injured in a self-accident at the Old Goa flyover in which the taxi veered off the road and hit a street light pole at the divider, on Thursday evening.
According to police sources, the driver Saib Lal was proceeding from the Kadamba highway road towards Corlim when on reaching the Old Goa flyover, the vehicle veered and hit the pole. Upon impact, the pole came crashing down and injured Lal. The front portion of the taxi was totally damaged.
The Old Goa police arrived at the spot and the driver was sent to the GMC hospital for treatment as he suffered injuries to his leg. The Old Goa police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
