MARGAO
The Congress hopes to get rid of all "irritants" amongst the INDIA bloc partners as Congress observer for Goa Manikrao Thakare landed in the state on late Sunday evening.
If sources are to be believed, the Congress Observer is scheduled to have a meeting with the leaders of the Alliance partners on Monday evening to take a review and discuss a joint election strategy for the May 7 polls.
Sources in the Congress pointed out that Thakare and party leaders will discuss the minor irritants that have cropped up amongst the Alliance partners and work out solutions to the satisfaction of all.
A senior Congress leader, however, hastened to add that the issues that have cropped up are minor in nature relating to joint campaigning, exuding confidence of overcoming all irritants at the coordination committee meeting scheduled on Monday.
"There are no major issues with the Alliance partners. We are all working for the success of the Alliance candidates. Issues such as joint election campaigns etc need to be addressed", remarked a Congress leader.
Meanwhile, sources pointed out that Thakare is expected to have a meeting with all the party candidates who had contested the 2022 Assembly elections.
He is also expected to have an interaction with the block party presidents and other leaders and give final touches to the election campaign.
