THE GOAN: When are the Smart City works likely to be completed?

Sanjit: It is our endeavour to complete works by June 2024.

TG: The data shows that only minor works are taken up while major works are yet to be executed?

Sanjit: Most of the works are progressing satisfactorily and are on track.

TG: The scenario in Panaji shows that there is no proper planning or execution of work. Citizens are seen complaining.

Sanjit: We are doing our best and we are working as per a plan. We are sensitive towards inconveniences caused and citizens' calls are being addressed.

The chaos inflicted as a result of execution of works related to 'Smart City' projects in the capital city has returned to the streets of the capital Panaji day in and day out, haunting residents and the thousands of daily visitors as well.
