The Tibetan community in Goa has voiced concern over challenges related to land availability and business security in the State.
Chief Representative Officer (CRO), South Zone, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), Jigme Tsultrim, who visited Goa last week, met the Goa Tibetan Welfare Market Association to discuss these issues and to plan the 90th birth anniversary celebrations of the Dalai Lama.
At the meeting, members highlighted difficulties faced by Tibetan businesses, particularly in coastal areas such as Baga and Calangute. Tsultrim urged them to engage proactively with local authorities and communities to build goodwill and secure long-term stability for their ventures.
The CRO outlined a 10-day programme in Goa to mark the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, with cultural exhibitions, educational initiatives and community events.
