Tighter security planned at all immersion points

PANAJI

The police have planned heightened security at all immersion points as a minimum of 150 devotees at each site is expected during the Ganesh idol processions. Sources said that for immersion of Sarvajanik Ganesh idols, where the devotees count could range from 800 to 1,500, security measures are even stricter.

The police department is already in receipt of detailed routes and schedules from all Sarvajanik mandals to ensure effective security and smooth traffic management.
