Accusing the Health Minister for harassing the tribal women of Melauli, tribal leader Adv Suresh Palkar has warned that the tribal people from Tiswadi taluka will stop him from stepping into the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim and his bungalow at Dona Paula.
Saying that the patience of the ST people is running out, Adv Palkar said the ST people have also made it clear to the ST Commissioner Ramesh Tawadkar and former Commissioner Prakash Velip to clear their stand whether they are with the tribal people or the government.
“The government has threatened to file cases against the ST community of Melauli for attempt to murder. We would like to warn the Health Minister that tribal people from entire Tiswadi taluka would unite and stop him from visiting his bungalow at Dona Paula or step into the GMC, Bambolim,” he said, saying that BJP MLAs from Tiswadi, Minister Jennifer Monserrate, Babush Monserrate, Tony Fernandes and Francis Silveira will not be able to save the Health Minister in the taluka.
