Two booked for organising bullfight

The Colva Police have registered an FIR against two persons for allegedly organising the banned bullfight in the police station jurisdiction.
The police informed that the accused persons, Bernard Gomes, a resident of Seraulim, and Riyaz Khan, a resident of Pedda-Benaulim, being the alleged organisers, organised the bullfight between two bulls for the entertainment of the public in an open place within public view.
The police alleged that the duo incited their bulls to fight with each other, thereby subjecting them to cruelty.
A case under Section 11(1)(m)(n) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, stands registered against the duo.
