Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Thursday expressed confidence of BJP winning both the Lok Sabha seats- North and South- with thumping majority.

Joshi, who landed in Goa this morning, chaired BJP’s ‘State Election Management Committee meeting’ at the party's North Goa election office in Mapusa.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik, State President Sadanand Tanavade and other leaders were present for the meeting. Joshi took a review of the party's preparedness for the Lok Sabha polls and also planned out strategies to ensure its victory.

“We discussed the management of the election during the meeting. I am confident that we will win both seats of Goa this time,” Joshi told media persons post meeting.

Joshi said that the party has worked out strategies to be implemented at the macro and micro level. When asked about the likely announcement of election dates, Joshi said “it is the prerogative of Election Commission of India’.

Later speaking, Union Minister for State Shripad Naik said that all the leaders discussed about election management.

“We are expecting maximum margin and hence in that direction we discussed giving responsibilities to our karykartas,” Naik, current MP from North Goa, said.

In the last Lok Sabha election, BJP candidate Narendra Sawaikar had lost the South Goa seat to Congress candidate Francisco Sardinha.
