Valpoi police station is 4th best in India

The Valpoi police station achieved the distinction of being ranked the four best police station in the country by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the year 2021.

The Centre has adopted a uniform model of ranking police stations across the country with the main objective of improving the quality of policing and making the police stations people-friendly.

“The Valpoi police station received a letter of commendation in this regard and it is indeed a matter of pride for the officers and staff of the police station along with the people of Sattari taluka to have been ranked the fourth best in the country,” said Valpoi Police Inspector Harish Gawas.

According to information, police stations in Goa and across the country were checked on several parameters, including working in the police station, public interaction and crime reduction.

“We appreciate the support and cooperation from citizens, media, social activists in Sattari taluka. Previous police inspectors Sagar Ekoskar and Shivram Vaigankar have made significant contributions to improve the Valpoi police station,” said PI Gawas.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sandesh Chodankar also congratulated the Valpoi police station for achieving this honour

Meanwhile, the Sattari Patrakar Sangh (SPS) complimented the officers and staff of Valpoi Police Station on being ranked the four best police station in the country.

In a press release, the SPS said the police station and its officers and staff have been instrumental in reducing crimes in the area by establishing good rapport with the people.
