Vasco police have booked three members of a family for allegedly assaulting a man and snatching his gold chain during a dispute over a municipal property inspection at New Vaddem.
In his complaint, Sandesh Shet from Ponda alleged that on September 9 around 4 pm, Vinay Volvoikar, Sulochana Volvoikar and Pradeep Volvoikar verbally abused him. He further stated that Vinay struck him with a wooden stick, while Pradeep allegedly damaged and took away a piece of his broken gold chain during the scuffle.
Based on the complaint, Vasco police registered a case under sections 352, 118(1), 324(4), 303(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation is being carried out by PSI Priyanka Patil under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
