The Vasco Urban Health Centre (UHC) at the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) building has temporarily shifted to the STD Clinic at Baina near the Ravindra Bhavan, as renovation work of the MMC building is in progress.
Speaking to the media, Vasco UHC Health Officer Dr Rashmi Khandeparkar said the UHC was looking out for a centrally located place in Vasco itself, keeping in mind the polio vaccination drive.
"The MMC building renovation works are in progress and we had been trying for quite some time to find a good place to administer polio vaccines to small children. After we did not get any suitable place, we decided to temporarily shift to the STD Clinic at Baina.”
“We are still trying to see if we get any other suitable place for polio vaccination but as of now the polio vaccination drive will take place from the STD clinic near Ravindra Bhavan in Baina from Tuesday," said Dr Khandeparkar.
