Velsao villagers confront RVNL over blocked access

VASCO

A group of residents from Velsao confronted Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) officials on Monday, demanding the removal of mud blocking their access routes due to ongoing railway expansion work.

The residents, who have been struggling with restricted movement, expressed their anger over the lack of action despite repeated complaints.

“Our roads are blocked, our homes are affected, and yet no action has been taken. We demand justice and immediate action,” said an agitated villager.

The blocked routes have impacted daily life, especially for elderly residents and school-going children. Villagers warned that if their grievances are not addressed soon, they will escalate their protest.

“We have been patient for too long. If our demands are ignored, we will have no choice but to escalate our protest!” another resident stated.

RVNL officials assured the villagers that they would look into their concerns.
