Israeli national David Driham, alias ‘Dudu’, a familiar name in Goa’s drug-case files, is back in the police net, this time for allegedly staying in Goa without a valid visa and passport.
Driham, 51, was arrested around noon on Friday after Anjuna police found him without valid travel documents. A case was registered against him under Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.
Driham’s name had figured prominently in Goa’s drug cases in the past.
In 2010, he was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell in Anjuna in a narcotics case involving heroin, cocaine, LSD and charas. However, a subsequent CBI investigation alleged that the drugs had been planted on him. A North Goa sessions court discharged Driham from the case in 2023 while framing charges against seven policemen.
More recently, the North Goa Principal District and Sessions Court ordered the framing of charges against Driham in an NDPS case arising from the alleged seizure of 11.2 grams of cocaine in Anjuna in June 2025.
Police said Driham was residing at Pequem, Peddem, Anjuna.
