A 54-year-old rider from Dhavali was seriously injured when he was knocked down by a speeding car at Dhavali.
Ponda police said the car was proceeding from Ponda towards Margao and was trying to overtake a vehicle at Dhavali, when it collided with an oncoming two-wheeler.
The two-wheeler driver Bahadur Shah was seriously injured and was initially taken to the District Hospital Hospital, from where he was shifted to Goa Medical College Hospital at Bambolim for further treatment.
Constable Sajyot Sawant of Ponda Police conducted the panchnama of the accident.
