Goa Police has released a sketch on the basis of informationcollated from the victim and others who saw the accused. The police has alsoconstituted a 15 member special team led by PI Sunita Sawant to investigateinto the rape case of the seven year old at a school in Vasco.
Meanwhile, medical examination has confirmed that the minorhad been sexually assaulted.
DIG O P Mishra has quelled the doubts of the health andwellbeing of the minor. “The girl is fine and stable”, said Mishra rubbishingrumours that the girl was not in good health.
The seven year old girl was raped by an unknown person who successfully invaded into the school premisesand raped her in school toilet bathroom during recess hour of the school.
According to the information the incident reported around10.30 am on Monday when the unknown person called the minor girl in the schooltoilet and allegedly raped her and fled from the scene. The victim girl thenreported the matter to the school teacher who later informed Mormugao police.
Senior police officials of Goa police, including officersfrom crime branch were summoned by DIG Kishan Kumar who and the CB police isnow investigating into the case.
According to an NGO from Vasco who was summoned by police,even after knowing that the matter was very serious did not conducted medicaltest of the victim till late evening.
