In most reputed democracies around the world, countries collect a relatively high percentage of tax but offer good services in return eg medical and health facilities. In India (Goa included) with high percentage of tax charged the government medical facilities, infrastructure are close to pathetic. And when citizens want to secure their healthcare and opt for private health insurance the insensitive govt charges 18 per cent GST. If the government can’t offer decent health facilities why this outrageous 18 per cent GST charge -- should it not be 0 pe cent! Indians should stop being occupied with all the distractions the politicians throw at us and focus on the real issues.
