Residents of Arpora-Nagoa village have expressed satisfaction over the government, local MLA Michael Lobo and Arpora-Nagoa village panchayat for widening the village roads at some places and hot mixing roads . In fact, this was long pending demand of the villagers. The condition of the roads was deplorable. Roads connecting St Joseph's High School to Mainath Bhati and Vegaswado Super Market to Mainath Bhati to Anjuna-Arpora main state road (MDR) were in poor condition due to potholes and narrowness. Sarpanch of Arpora-Nagoa village along with some members inspected the road sites and cooperated with road contractor for road widening at some places.
Calangute MLA Michael Lobo pursued the entire process at the government level to complete the hot mix asphalting of the roads. There are many reasons why good roads deteriorate.The contractors in many fields are frequently digging up roads. The government and the local panchayat should obtain guarantee from the road digging contractors and get roads repaired immediately.
