Borim bridge: Listen to voice of common man

The people are unhappy with projects like highway expansion, bridges, and roads undertaken by the government without consulting farmers and villagers. The proposed construction of the Borim Bridge lacks proper study, and locals are dissatisfied with the government’s decision. Goan ministers and the PWD department seem to take the people for granted for personal gain. Farmers’ khazans and agricultural lands will be destroyed. The government should listen to the people and find a solution that doesn’t destroy their fields.

Many villages are already affected by highway expansion, and we question the need for highways in a small state like Goa. It is good to see that the South Goa MP has raised the Borim Bridge and highway issues with the Union Minister for Roads, Highways, and Transport. We don’t understand when the Transport Minister will build bus terminals in major Goan cities. We request CM Sawant and the Union Minister to study the ground reality before proceeding with these projects.
