It is good to see leading lights of Goa Congress descending on streets to mark the second anniversary of mass exodus of its MLA to Goa BJP. The need of the hour is to rebuild the organisation from ground up and filter out potential traitors. Are they able to recruit young blood to bring a turn around in the upcoming poll battles? One can understand that these are agendas discussed in the strategy meeting rooms behind closed doors. Preparations for 2027 can no longer wait. They must start from now on the occasion of the second anniversary of mass defection when the murder of democracy took place in broad day light shaking the conscience of entire Goa. Can it deliver? The answer to this burning question depends upon the lessons it has learnt from these defections and course corrections that it has made. Until 2027 it is a do-or-die battle for Goa Congress that cannot afford to relax.
