Creating irrational fears and emotional frenzy among people

The latest weapon in the Sanghis' political arsenal is the 'batengey toh katengey' slogan exhorting Hindus to remain united or else they will perish. This is a propaganda technique to create irrational fears and emotional frenzy among the Hindus who constitute 80% of the country. Essentially the supremely evil 'leaders' want to convey that a division in the community will see the people being butchered. This sinister project to heighten anxieties in the majority community comes at a time when the protagonists of Hindutva politics have returned to power for a third consecutive term and the minorities, particularly the Muslims have been ruthlessly marginalized. Ironically they still feel the need for heightening a false sense of victimhood instead of using their power to make the majority community more sensitive, tolerant,  empathetic and compassionate. But the BJP is again propping up a more toxic version of the false construct of 'Hindu khatrey meyn hai' to sustain venomous hate for the collective others of which Muslims make up the core. They are assassinating Gandhi again and again through newer manifestations of the politics of hate, bigotry, doublespeak and deception.
