Margao is full of crumbling structures which are a threat to life and limb. The Osia commercial arcade in the heart of the city is one such. The building houses private as well as government offices and is frequented by the public, but the building is in shambles.
Besides the usual garbage strewn around, one can see large cracks at the rear and vegetation growing on the parapet wall. Over the course of time these cracks would widen and bring the building down. Would the Margao Municipality take action before a mishap occurs?
