Yes, Goa cannot afford to ignore the vexed stray dog issue. Strays attack on unsuspecting passersby is traumatic. In Mumbai too, we have several such cases. Of course, we need to be humane when dealing with this issue of strays but human life itself is perhaps more important.
There are people who feed the strays regularly but do not seem to take responsibility for their behaviour. If only they could adopt these strays they could be doing a great service not just to the strays but to the people in the neighborhood as well. Man and beast can and most live in harmony.
