Chicalim Parish Priest Fr Bolmax Pereira has been finally booked (of course despite the said priest already tendering an apology over this very same issue) on Friday evening for allegedly making some objectionable statements through one particular sermon & for hurting the religious sentiments of our Hindu community in Goa. Has Fr Bolmax committed a crime by telling his own devotees in a church what is actually taught in our history books about Shivaji through that particular sermon in Goa? Well, it looks like some fanatics now want to slowly start censoring and twisting the sermons of even our Catholic priests in the State to further their own communal agendas. And why are some ruling politicians (including CM Pramod Sawant) still trying to politicise Fr Bolmax's sermon for no reason? Where were they when Subash Velingkar had openly said that St Francis Xavier is not a 'Goencho Saib' whilst speaking at a press conference last year? Really feeling ashamed of those who are desperately trying to malign the image of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the state by threatening people for their own political gain.
