The Health Minister Vishwajit Rane's social/political behaviour at GMC on Saturday in the presence of doctors, nurses and patients in the ward was appalling and distasteful. His tolerance was in tatters, contrary the CMO's silence is to be deeply appreciated. When the Health Minister was roaring like a lion and charging like a firebrand “ Take your hands out of the pocket; put your face mask down and shut up -- was a total “dadagiri” behaviour. Rane rebuked the doctor for not being kind and helpful like other doctors who work for 24 hours and reach out to patients in various circumstances. The Health Minister’s rebuke and suspension of a humble doctor has placed dignity in shackles. At the crux of this crisis, lies a disastrous government led by a doctor cum politician. It is obvious that the CM Pramod Sawant will subdue the issue, viewing the emotion of the public and doctors. It is for the people (patients) and doctors to get united like the doctors in West Bengal, and make the Health Minister resign.
