How careless renting is fuelling crime in Goan villages

Barely a day after the brutal murder of a 63-year-old man in Morjim, two people were found murdered on Thursday with their throats slit in a rented house at Muddawado, Saligao. The police must act firmly. Locals who rent out rooms without proper tenant verification should face strict action and heavy fines. The tenant verification process must be made tougher to ensure that the law and order situation in every village across Goa remains under control.
