The Western Bypass was inaugurated less than a year ago, and there are already signs of damage to the road surface. The poorly engineered slip roads and overpass present a clear and present danger to vehicles moving towards or from Navelim and Panaji from the Benaulim stretch.
To add to the problem, the unfinished traffic island on the Benaulim“Varca road has been illegally taken over by coconut sellers and fish vendors. Many people park their vehicles to buy items, making the area more prone to accidents. Will the authorities please get these removed?
